Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026.
Novacon LLC ("we") operates Constrictor at constrictor.dev. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name as Google provides it.
- Learning data: your code drafts, exercise and mock test results, solve times, XP, badges and streaks.
- Payment details: Stripe collects your card details; we never see the full number. We keep your Stripe customer ID and your access status.
- Reminder settings: if you opt in, your reminder choices, time zone and browser push token.
- Support messages: whatever you send to our support address.
- Technical data: our providers process IP addresses and browser details to deliver the service and keep it secure.
Without an account, your progress stays in your browser's local storage and isn't sent to us. Your code runs in your browser.
How we use it
We use this information to provide the course and sync your progress, process payments and control access, send reminders you asked for and service messages, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal duties.
Who we share it with
We share it only with providers that run the service for us:
- Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): sign-in, database, hosting, server functions and push delivery
- Stripe: payments and billing
- Cloudflare: domain, DNS and forwarding of support email
- jsDelivr: delivers the Python runtime to your browser, and sees your IP address when it does
- SendGrid: reminder and welcome emails, if enabled
- Analytics provider: only if you accept analytics
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business sale or transfer.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to save your progress, look and login session. Analytics runs only after you accept it, and you can decline.
How long we keep it
We keep account and learning data until you ask us to delete it or your account is closed. We keep payment records as long as tax and accounting rules require, and may keep backups for a limited time.
Your choices and rights
You can turn reminders off at any time, and every reminder email has an unsubscribe link. To access, correct, export or delete your data, email support@constrictor.dev. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including objecting to processing or complaining to a regulator. We won't treat you worse for using them.
Children
Constrictor isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security and location
We use access controls and encrypted connections, but no system is perfectly secure. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Changes
We'll post any update here with a new date, and tell account holders about material changes.
